Okowa seeks partnership with NIMASA in maritime

Delta Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, on Thursday said the State Government would partner Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) to develop the state's maritime potential. Okowa stated this when the Director-General of NIMASA, Dr Bashir Jamoh and his management team visited him at Government House, Asaba. He commended the management of the agency for reaching out to stakeholders in the littoral states in its determination to develop the maritime sector. The Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) are intensifying efforts to protect, interdict, and deter threats around vessels anchored in the Secure Anchorage Area (SAA), off the coast of Lagos. Director General of NIMASA, Dr. Bashir Jamoh, announced this in Lagos during a courtesy visit by the Shipping Association of Nigeria (SAN).
