By implication , this will now set the tone for the much anticipated industrialisation by moving her from a State beyond Oil. This cherry news reportedly came from Nigeria's miracle Governor weekend when he announced that the State has procured ,and would install Gas Turbines that would commence and develop its Independent Power Plant. The actual cost of this intervention was not available as at press time but Shipping World Magazine understands that the intention is to pave way...

Aso Rock's media team is in overdrive. Not with a flurry of messages to acquaint Nigerians with the sterling accomplishments of their principal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Apparently, they have no such story to tell. What has preoccupied the now expanded team is the scathing remarks attributed to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President, in far away United States at a Chinua Achebe Leadership Forum. Obasanjo is not an inventor or social scientist to have said anything extraordinary. He said Nigeria is teetering on the brink of chaos, expressing "deep concern" over the country's worsening economic situation. He blamed it on leadership failure, stating that "the more the immorality and corruption of a nation, the more the nation sinks into chaos, insecurity, conflict, and underdevelopm...

In the last couple of months, he has taken the campaign against the environmental degradation of the oil rich Niger Delta and the seeming unbalance in allocation of her resources to local and global fora, thereby carving a niche for himself as the lone voice of the oppressed peoples of the Niger Delta. And having lost a large chunk of our resources to the Government at the centre, Governor Douye Diri has began the campaign to shift attention from the depreciating oil and gas sector ,to the new found gold; the marine and Blue Economy.
