The Bayelsa State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Campaign Council has called on the Inspector-General of Police and Director-General of the Department of State Services to immediately invite a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Joshua MacIver, for questioning. Chairman of the campaign council’s Publicity Directorate, Hon. Justice Donatus Okorowo of the Federal High Court, Abuja, in a judgement delivered on Monday, disqualified the Bayelsa State All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 11 governorship election, Chief Timipre Sylva. Justice Okorowo ruled that Chief Sylva having been sworn in twice and ruled for five years as governor of Bayelsa would breach the 1999 constitution as amended if allowed to contest again. Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, continued his re-election campaigns in Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state during the weekend with a promise to provide more developmental projects in the area.
