Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri Bayelsa State Government has concluded plans to rehabilitate over fifty internal roads that are in deplorable conditions in Yenagoa. The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure in the State, Surveyor Moses Teibowei, stated this while inspecting some roads within the State capital. He said funds for the rehabilitation have been approved and that most of the jobs would be given to indigenous contractors to handle. Surveyor Teibowei, also assured that ongoing expansion at the Edepie/Etegwe roundabout, would be completed by end of October. Gov Douye Diri receives a souvenir from Dr Jamoh Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, says the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) is key in efforts to wean Nigeria from its dependence on crude oil, stressing that the most enduring wealth of the country is in maritime.
