The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Bashir Jamoh will chair the the League of Maritime Editors and Publishers (LOMEP) One-day workshop/seminar scheduled to take place at the Administrative Staff Colleage of Nigeria (ASCON), TOPO, Badagry on Thursday, August 25th, 2022 by 11am promt. Prince Olayiwola Shittu, immediate past President of the National Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents, ANLCA, is a reporters' delight any day. A respected stakeholder in Nigeria's Maritime Industry, Shittu who is reputed as a mobile encyclopedia of the Maritime Industry , led the most successful tenure as President of ANLCA before bowing out honourably on April 14th, 2018. Last week, Shittu stormed the Secretariat of the elite Maritime Editors in Festac where he fielded questions on a wide range of issues . A seeming Corporate War is brewing in Nigeria's Maritime Industry as the Minister of Transportation, Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi is at daggers drawn with the newly appointed Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority. Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari on January 21, appointed a new Board for the NPA under the headship of Mr Emmanuel Abisoye. The announcement came via a statement by Presidential spokesman Femi Adesina . But almost three months after the announcement, it was learnt that Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi has declined to inaugurate the new Board.
