Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has promised a better deal for staff of the ministry during an interactive session in Abuja. Amaechi who vowed to ameliorate the challenges facing the staff has accordingly promised them free bus rides. Said he: " knowing the background I come from, I felt that you people are spending more money having to transport youselves to work and I'm surprised that they are collecting monies from you for those buses ", he said.
He therefore directed the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Sabiu Zakari, to ensure that staffers enjoy free bus rides to and fro.He also promised to ensure that henceforth training and retraining of staff would be given top priority.
