President Muhammadu Buhari The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) is committed to putting an end to the importation of refined petroleum products into Nigeria, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, has said. Sylva said the government was working to reverse Nigeria’s status as a net importer of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, and as such had been supporting the establishment of modular refineries to boost indigenous PMS production. After almost 13 years of an endless wait, the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency  says it has finally secured approval for the disbursement of the controversial Cabotage Vessel Financing Fund. The Agency's helmsman,  Dr Bashir Jamoh  who broke the good news at a meeting with Shipowners in Lagos  said details for the disbursement  were being worked out.
