The newly-appointed Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Magdalene Ajani has commended the Nigerian Shippers Council for the establishment of Vehicle Transit Areas (VTAs) amongst other initiatives aimed at trade facilitation. Dr. Ajani who spoke when she received in audience the management team of the Nigeria Shippers Council led by its Executive Secretary, Hassan Bello, expressed delight at the modest achievements of the Council under his leadership . After almost 13 years of an endless wait, the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency  says it has finally secured approval for the disbursement of the controversial Cabotage Vessel Financing Fund.
