BASHIR ADEWALE ADENIYI , MFR: 365 Days on the Saddle Musa Omale
Since his appointment as the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) about a year ago, on June 19, 2023, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR has displayed a rare dynamism in running the affairs of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
This is anchored on the fact that he has recorded multifaceted feats since assuming office. Indeed, it is a case of a success story, thereby justifying our earlier opinion when he was appointed that, he was a reincarnated ICON of the Abdullahi Dikko’s glorious yester- years which moved the Customs to a world- class standard. He believes that everything succeeds and fails on the table of leadership, hence the need to provide the right leadership. It is against this background that his landmark achievements are herein chronicled.

NNADI CELEBRATES CGC WALE ADENIYI WITH LANDMARK SEIZURES AT TIN CAN
Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, was all smiles as he lavished encomiums on officers and Men of the Tin Can Command who rejected mouth- watering offers to make an iconic drug seizure to celebrate his first 365 days in office as helmsman of the Nigeria Customs Service. Adewale Adeniyi was named Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on June 19, 2023 , thus bringing to an end the Hameed Ali administration of ineptitude which will go down in history as the darkest days of Service. For the Tin Can command under the headship of Comptroller Dera Nnadi, Mni, this was more of a birthday present to Wale Adeniyi, the CGC than just men and officers carrying out their statutory duties as enforcement officers and revenue ...
*TRIBUTE TO AN ODE OF ARCHITECT* A Tribute by Lady Olamide Odusanya
Late Ferdinand Agu was appointed as an undertaker of the then NMA. Due to his professional and personal conviction, he designed, constructed and operated a forward looking Agency.
Late Architect Agu was loved by all for his brilliance, oratory power, humaneness, love of arts and culture. We loved him for some many reasons.

He touched the lives of all and sundry in the Agency, and left the Agency far better than he met it.

*FERDINAND AGU – AN EXCEPTIONAL MARITIME ADMINISTRATOR* A Tribute by Dr Emeka Akabogu
Architect Ferdinand Agu was a man of high intellect. I greatly admired him because he combined his prodigious intellect with delicious articulation and impressive gravitas. Beyond these, he had a hands-on approach to his job and set about tasks with commitment and detail.
I distinctly remember his first interaction with the maritime industry after his appointment at a stakeholder interactive session in 2001. He was quiet all through the event, listening intently and taking notes. When eventually he took the podium, it was evident the country’s maritime administration had not beheld such a class act. He flawlessly captured the essence of all interventions, seducing the words to deliver hope in great doses of audial pleasure.
My first full engagement with him was shortly after in Enugu...
NIMASA DG Mobereola Mourns Late Ferdinand Agu
The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, has described the death of Architect Ferdinand Agu, former Director General of the defunct National Maritime Authority (NMA), as a rude shock.
Reacting to Agu's sudden passing this weekend, the NIMASA DG expressed that it is a significant loss to Nigeria, the maritime community, and NIMASA in particular.
“I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Arc. Ferdinand Agu, a former Director General of NMA. He left an indelible impression on me within the short time we shared during my first stakeholder engagement just last month. I had hoped to engage him more often, to tap into his wealth of experience for the collective interest of every Nigerian. Alas, death has denied us thi...
A TRIBUTE TO FERDINAND AGU .By Prof Pat Utomi.
The news is heavy and weighs down the heart. But e give thanks to a creator deserving of our gratitude.
My friend Ferdinand Agu crossed over with no notice, no time for a wrap-up, let alone say goodbye.
Ferdinand was a class act. Gifted with a clear head and profound in erudition.
Those who came out to see the architect as technician found themselves before a poet and philosopher king.
As DG of NMA (NIMASA), he turned to a few of us for the template for change.
As a neighbor on Ilabere, he walked across in lamentation when shocking things like the line up of candidates for Governor in Imo appeared in 2010. He was not from Imo, but his essence sorrowed for the people of that state.
What a loss. May the Angels of God the most high escort him into paradise.

Arc Ferdinald Agu and his testimonials . By Dakuku Peterside PhD.
When I arrived at NIMASA in March 2016 and started preaching the gospel of reforms and reputational restoration, the director - level cadre of the agency threw only one challenge at me:equal or surpass the record of a certain Arc. Ferdinald Agu,who had earlier served as DG/ CEO of the predecessor organisation to NIMASA, NMA.
That challenge set the stage for and the tone of my future engagements in the agency. First, who is this man who has become a source of leadership reference in NIMASA? It was evident to all that we have only ever had very few of these agency leaders as role models and sources of inspiration for leadership. Fewer have been superlative and exceptional .Therefore, it became imperative to extract the core elements of Arc Agu's outstanding and qualitative performance pri...
