The Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Hameed Ali was again conspicuously absent as heads of maritime agencies  met in Lagos,  agreeing to set up a timeline for 24 hour port operations. Also absent at the second scheduled monthly meeting which held at the Corporate Headquarters of NIMASA, was the Rector of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron Akwa Ibom State, Commodore Duja Effedua. Parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Transportation have agreed on modalities for handling areas of overlap in their responsibilities.
