Members of the IJaw Youths Council ( IYC ) Lagos chapter led by its Chairman Comrade Henry Oyobolo in a civilized and peaceful manner withdrew their protest from Dowen college premises which they occupied earlier to the Law Chambers of Anthony George-Ikoli, SAN to brief him over the questionable death of one of their own, Sylvester Oromoni. After series of meetings with a team of Lawyers from the SAN’s Law firm in the past week, the Chambers this afternoon officially accepted to take up the matter and immediately despatched a Lawyer to represent it at theAutopsy Panel.
During the Dowen protest, concerned elders monitored closely to prevent hoodlums from hijacking it and portray Ijaw people as violent, destructive and lawless.
Before vacating the premises the youths warned the School authorities not to reopen the school which they informed the public would resume Monday January 10, 2022. The school remains shut till date.
With the consent of Sylvester’s father, Oromoni Snr, the IYC leaders approached Ikoli, SAN to protect the Ijaw interest as Femi Falana, SAN represents the Oromoni family.
Concerned patriots at home and abroad please take note as the epic legal battle has commenced. The world watches what we can do to ensure our son gets justice. Sylvester Oromoni must not die in vain. So help us God.
Viva Ijaw Nation !
