BAYELSA HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PASSES RURAL ACCESS AUTHORITY BILL AND RURAL ROAD FUND BILL 2025
In a significant step towards enhancing rural infrastructure and economic development, the Bayelsa State House of Assembly has passed into law the Rural Access Authority Bill and the Rural Road Fund Bill 2025.
The member representing Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency 1 in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Werinipre Pamoh, along with other lawmakers, successfully championed the bills through the legislative process to improve road connectivity and facilitate the transportation of farm produce from rural to urban areas.
The new laws will establish a Rural Access Authority responsible to oversee the development and maintenance of rural roads,and a Rural Road Fund to provide dedicated funding for these projects.
