Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, on Wednesday, presented the 2024 budget of N480.99 billion to the State House of Assembly for consideration and passage. Presenting the appropriation bill christened: "Budget of Sustainable and Shared Prosperity," Governor Diri recalled that in October 2023, the assembly approved the 2024-2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper (MTEF and FSP) for the state. Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye, has implored members of the state executive council to explore ways to actualise the vision of his administration for the benefit of Bayelsans. Governor Diri gave the charge on Thursday at the opening of a three- day retreat for cabinet members tagged 'Prosperity Agenda for Growth and Development' at the Ibom Icon Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
