The Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman has unveiled modern pollution and environmental equipment namely Drones, Jet skis and Booms for surveillance, monitoring and containing oil spillages. Others are Blowers, Pressure Washers, Skimmers, Power Pack Absorbers and Multiple Dispersant Sprays. Speaking during the event, the Managing Director urged the officer and staff in charge of the equipment to put them into optimal use to the appreciation of the stakeholders whilst bringing to the fore that the government was interested in ensuring the effective compliance and sustenance of the Ease of Doing Business at the Ports. Usman gave this assurance while delivering a keynote address at a one day sensitization workshop put together by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) and NPA held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos Friday.
