Nigeria’s Oil minister, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has reaffirmed Nigeria’s leadership role in advancing Africa’s energy security. This is as he called for deeper regional integration at the Africa Oil Week (AOW) 2025 Ministerial and CEO Leadership Forum. According to a statement by Nneamaka Okafor, Lokpobiri's media aide, the minister stressed that integration remains the most effective strategy to end Africa’s energy poverty, noting that shared infrastructure, harmonized standards, and technical expertise will enable the continent to secure its energy future. The Presidential Amnesty Programme has said that it is not owing school fees of 5000 students of Itsekiri extraction in Novena University, Ogume, Delta State. The PAP in a statement on Tuesday stated that the agency is not owing fees in Novena or any institution within or outside the country. If there was any iota of doubt that the 2007 Act which gave birth to the Council For the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria, CRFFN, ought to have been abrogated last week's judgement by Justice D.E. Osiagor was the final nail on its coffin. The controversial CRFFN Act, No16 was enacted on April 30, 2007.Under the Act,the Council was charged with the responsibility, amongst others, to regulate and control the practice of Freight Forwarders in Nigeria, promote the highest professional standards and competence among members .
