Building on the successful intensive leadership and technical skills development training for Phase 1 stakeholders and leaders that took place two weeks ago, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, PhD, earlier today launched the programme for the Phase 2 stakeholders and leaders from across the Niger Delta.
Both training sessions are part of a strategic initiative to strengthen leadership and foster lasting peace in the Niger Delta. Held in collaboration with the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) in Abuja, the three-day program, themed “Leadership, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Mediation,” is designed to equip key stakeholders with the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for effective peace-building and conflict management.
This ongoing effort underscores Chief Otuaro’s commitment to empowering stakeholders with the tools for responsible leadership. By enhancing their ability to manage and resolve conflicts at the community level, the PAP is reinforcing peace-building mechanisms that are vital for the region’s socio-economic development and a more stable Niger Delta.
