Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Gen Barry Ndiomu has fingered fifth columnists as those behind the campaign of calumny against his person.
He has however warned that no amount of intimidation would distract him from putting the PAP on the path of probity and accountability. Ndiomu who spoke after his maiden visit to the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu those who have profited from the criminal exploitation of the scheme were bent on having their way, but promised that he will remain focused on his planned transformation agenda for ex agitators.
He said he was not unaware that some disgruntled people parading themselves as ex agitators were bent on blackmailing and sponsoring faceless groups and individuals to attack him. Said Ndiomu: ” If you like blackmail to the heavens and back, i will not succumb to fraudulent activities. We will stand our ground and do what is just and right for our people ,and vigorously purse the intentions of the PAP”, he affirmed. He recalled that in the past ex agitators were used as conduit pipes to siphon money from the PAP.
Ndiomu assured that all contractors of the PAP would be paid for jobs done but advised them to follow due process in seeking approval for payments. He warned ex agitators to desist from being allowing themselves from being used as saboteurs of the PAP.
