Gov Douye Diri to Chair Invesiture at Oriental Hotel SHIPPING WORLD, Nigeria’s flagship Maritime journal , has named High Chief Government Ekpomupolo , aka Tompolo, the Maritime Man of the Year 2022.
A statement signed in Lagos on Monday by the Chief Executive Officer of Maritime Media Ltd, Publishers of Shipping World magazine, Elder Asu Beks , stated that High Chief Government Ekpomupolo was nominated for the coveted award by the Advisory Board of Maritime Industry Merit AWARDS, MIMA, after a careful appraisal of his uncommon leadership as Chief Executive Officer of TANTITA Security Services Nigeria Ltd where he has demonstrated an uncommon leadership mandate after Federal Government awarded his Company, TANTINA SECURITY SERVICES , to provide crude oil and petroleum products pipeline-surveillance contract.
The statement observed that within months of the commencement of the contract, Nigeria has been able to meet her daily OPEC production quota as a result of the reduction in cases of Oil Theft, uncovering of illegal refineries and conduit pipelines across the Niger Delta.
The statement further explained that the Investiture of TOMPOLO has been scheduled to hold on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the prestigious Oriental Hotel Lagos with the Bayelsa State Governor, Sen Douye Diri as Chairman of the Occasion.
Minister of Transportation, Engr Muazu Sambo will be Special Guest of Honour, while the Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency,NIMASA, Dr Bashir Jamoh will be Chief Host. Elder Asu Beks explained that the Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Gen Barry Tariye Ndiomu ,would be the Guest Speaker at the event which is billed to attract key players in the Oil and Gas Industry as well as Nigeria”s Maritime domain
