Buhari, Gov Bindow and Sylva in closed door meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari, Monday afternoon, received Adamawa State Governor, Jubril Bindow, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Former Governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, also arrived the President’s office at noon. It is not clear if the duo were holding separate meetings or a joint parley. Bashir Ahmad, Buhari’s personal assistant on new media confirmed the presence of the APC chieftains at the villa. Bindow and Sylva were still in the President’s office at the time of filing this report.

When president Muhammadu Buhari announced the appointment of 209 board chairmen and 1,258 board members late Friday, dead folks also made the cut. It’s an embarrassment that has since gripped the nation and got everyone on social media talking. Chief Donald Ugbaja who was appointed member of the Consumer Protection Council (CPC), died on the 29th of November, 2017. Mallam Bashir Jamoh , Executive Director Finance and Administration at NIMASA, has said the maritime press goofed over claims that the agency spent a whooping N300m at the just concluded IMO Council meeting. ' I think the media got it all wrong. What NIMASA spent for the entire trip and the campaign was far less than N300m being peddled by the media', he said. Kano welcomes President Buhari in Grand Style

President Muhammadu Buhari arrived Kano on Wednesday for a two-day official visit to the state. Mr. Buhari was received at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, members of the State Executive Council, Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, traditional rulers as well as politicians, among others.
