The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has commended the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, for outstanding leadership and effective delivery of his mandate as the Commission marks its fourth anniversary.
\nSenator Heineken said this when Engineer Komolafe led a delegation of top management of the Commission to the minister\u2019s office on the sideliines of the NUPRC\u2019s anniversary on October 21, 2025.
\nThe Minister lauded the CCE for changing the narrative in upstream activities by restoring confidence in line with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), 2021, which he said is evident in the rising rig count.
\nLokpobiri said, \u201cLet me take the opportunity to congratulate you (Komolafe) and members of the team, for an excellent job over the last four years.
\n\u201cThe NUPRC is just four years old, but it looks like a 50-year-old. I don\u2019t flatter when I talk. A four-year-old child will be in kindergarten, but the NUPRC\u2019s achievements are like a 50-year-old.
