{"id":5004,"date":"2025-10-20T22:19:22","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T21:19:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shippingworld-ng.com\/?p=5004"},"modified":"2025-10-20T22:19:22","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T21:19:22","slug":"ernest-ikolis-family-announces-burial-date-for-elsie-ajayi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shippingworld-ng.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/20\/ernest-ikolis-family-announces-burial-date-for-elsie-ajayi\/","title":{"rendered":"ERNEST IKOLI&#8217;S FAMILY ANNOUNCES BURIAL DATE FOR ELSIE AJAYI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: var(--viral-body-family, Roboto); font-size: var(--viral-body-size, 15px); font-style: var(--viral-body-style, normal); letter-spacing: var(--viral-body-letter-spacing, 0); text-transform: var(--viral-body-text-transform, none); text-decoration: var(--viral-body-text-decoration, none);\">The family of prominent political leader, thinker and great journalist, Ernest Sissei Ikoli, on Wednesday described Madam Elsie Ajayi Ikoli as a priceless Jewell that would be hard to replace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Madam Elsie Ajayi Ikoli was an embodiment of the virtues of doggedness and resilience&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>She passed on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the enviable age of 93 years.<\/p>\n<p>Fondly called \u201cMama Ayo\u201d by friends and associates, Elsie Ajayi Ikoli, according to the family, was a good mother, matriarch, cook and counselor.<\/p>\n<p>A statement on Wednesday by the Ernest Sissei Ikoli Foundation said Madam Elsie Ajayi Ikoli&#8217;s burial activities would begin on Thursday, November 27 in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>The statement by the Executive Vice Chairman of Ernest Sissei Ikoli Foundation, Chief Anthony George- Ikoli said a service of songs and nights of tributes would hold on Thursday, November 27 at the Citadel, 274, Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island by 5:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cElsie Ajayi Ikoli&#8217;s funeral service will be held at The Salvation Army Church, 11 Odunlami Street, Lagos on Friday, November 28, 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The statement also said a private family interment for Elsie Ajayi Ikoli would take place immediately after the church service.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The casket will be lowered into the ground at 1:30 pm&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReception will be by 2:00 pm at The Hall Event Centre, 16 Musa Yar\u2019Adua Street, Victoria Island\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thanksgiving Service will take place on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at The Salvation Army Church, Lagos Island&#8221; the statement added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The family of prominent political leader, thinker and great journalist, Ernest Sissei Ikoli, on Wednesday described Madam Elsie Ajayi Ikoli as a priceless Jewell that would be hard to replace. &ldquo;Madam Elsie Ajayi Ikoli was an embodiment of the virtues of doggedness and resilience&rdquo;.
