A new Executive Committee to pilot the affairs of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, NGE, for the next two years has emerged.<\/p>\n

This is the outcome of the Guild’s 2021 Convention held at the Tahir Guest Palace Hotel, Kano on Monday, May 30, 2021.
\nIn a keenly contested election, devoid of acrimony and rancour, in which 241 delegates from various parts of the country voted, the incumbent President, Mustapha Isah was returned.
\nBelow are the details:<\/p>\n

1). President<\/strong>
\nMustapha Isah – 176 votes;
\nVictoria Ibanga – 54 votes.<\/p>\n

2). Deputy President<\/strong>
\nAli M Ali – Unopposed<\/p>\n

3). VP, East<\/strong>
\nSamuel Egbala – 132 votes;
\nSheddy Ozoene – 88 votes.<\/p>\n

4). VP, West<\/strong>
\nBolaji Adebiyi – 151 votes;
\nKen Ogbechie – 80 votes.<\/p>\n

5). VP, North<\/strong>
\nHabibi Nuhu – Unopposed.<\/p>\n

6). General Secretary<\/strong>
\nIyobosa Uwugiaren – Unopposed<\/p>\n

7). Assistant National Secretary<\/strong>
\nAusteen Elewodalu – 126 votes;
\nRose Moses – 86 votes.<\/p>\n

8). Treasurer<\/strong>
\nSteve Nwosu – 150 votes;
\nCatherine Agbo – 51 votes;
\nJuliet Chinda N – 26 votes.<\/p>\n

9). Social\/ Publicity Secretary<\/strong>
\nEze Anaba – 164 votes;
\nChooks Oko – 53 votes.<\/p>\n

10). Standing Committee Member, East – 2 positions<\/strong>
\nNgwuoke Ngwuoke – Unopposed
\nBoma Nwuke – Unopposed<\/p>\n

11). Standing Committee Member, West – 3 positions<\/strong>
\nOnuoha Ukeh – 174 votes;
\nGabriel Akinadewo – 174 votes;
